Winding Hollow is a newer golf course and country club located in New Albany, Ohio. It’s stunning greens attract golfers, while it’s fabulous ballroom attracts brides.
We had the pleasure of designing for Allie and Aaron a couple weeks ago for their wedding. Allie enlisted vintage touches in her bouquet with silver broaches adorning the roses. A collar of green hypericum berries encompases the roses. Lush hydrangeas filled the ballroom for the reception while candlight from mercury votives added warmth. Outside for the ceremony, fresh flowers lined the bridal path. A hand-spun garland of plumosa wrapped around the arch as the backdrop for Allie and Aaron to exchange vows, and as a way to enfuse some personality, it was placed offset (one side longer than the other) for interest.
For her toss bouquet (not pictured, sorry!), we tied lottery tickets to each flower and as Allie tossed it, the individual flowers all flew in different directions to many ladies, not just one, hopefully bringing them all some good fortune.
And just for fun, check out the last picture to see all the flowers in the delivery van together. Jayson, our Tetris king, wasn’t there that day but would have been proud! 🙂
Stunning weather, stunning flowers, and a stunning bride made for the perfect (and tiring, according to Allie’s Mom!) day.
